Entrepreneurial Course Starts September 24

SALISBURY, MD---The Salisbury University Small Business Development Center (SBDC) co-sponsors an eight-week “Start and Manage Your Own Business Seminar” on consecutive Wednesdays from September 24-November 12.

Held from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in Room 153 of the Power Professional Building on Wayne Street, the seminar focuses on techniques for effectively managing a small business.

Topics include start-up and operating procedures, ownership forms of operation, sources and methods of financing, recordkeeping, communications, debt collection, personnel, merchandising and business continuity. Instructors discuss overcoming problems and pitfalls frequently encountered in running small businesses.

Cost is $88 per person. The SBDC, Wor-Wic Community College and Maryland Capital Enterprises Inc. sponsor the seminar. The program is an extended version of the SBDC’s monthly “How to Start and Manage Your Own Business” course.
