Classes Canceled For Hurricane Isabel

SALISBURY, MD--->Salisbury University is canceling classes from Wednesday, September 17, at 5 p.m. through Thursday and Friday, September 18-19. The announcement of class cancellation is being made early so students who decide to return home will have ample time to do so.

Until further notice, the Salisbury University campus will remain open. The Emergency Procedures Committee is meeting twice daily and is monitoring Hurricane Isabel. If conditions become such that the University closes, announcements of employee work schedules will be made.

Local emergency officials have asked students living off campus to bring inside all outdoor objects that possibly may be blown by the wind, e.g., bicycles, grills and lawn furniture.

If conditions warrant, Maggs Gym will open as a student shelter.

Please continue to monitor the SU Web site as well as local media for hurricane updates.
