Alumni Board Elects New Members

SALISBURY, MD---The Salisbury State University Alumni Association recently elected Thomas B. Westcott III, Wynette Handy Morris and Virginia (Dixie) Furr Herweh to its board of directors.

Wescott, a teacher and soccer coach at Worcester Preparatory School in Berlin, is a member of the Middle States Association of the National Association for Independent Schools. He and his wife, Terri, live near Salisbury.

Morris, a resource teacher at Buckingham Elementary School in Berlin, MD, is a member of the local and state teachers' associations and St. James A.M.E. Zion Church in Salisbury. She earned her master's degree in guidance and counseling from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore in 1999 and is a visiting mathematics instructor at Sojourner Douglass College. Morris and her husband, Willard, live in Parsonsburg, MD.

A fourth grade teacher at North Laurel (DE) Elementary School, Herweh is a member of the Kappa Delta Pi and Phi Kappa Phi honor societies and recently traveled to Japan as a Fulbright Memorial Fund participant. She and her husband, John, live in Salisbury.
