SU's PACE Hosts Maryland Ballot Drop Box
SALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University’s Institute of Public Affairs and Civic Engagement is coordinating the placement of a mail-in ballot drop box on campus for the 2026 primary and general elections.
The drop box, located on the front side of the Patricia R. Guerrieri Academic Commons, is available for all registered Maryland voters to submit mail in ballots prior to election day.
Considering a recent Johns Hopkins study indicating that Salisbury spends far more on its elections and gets fair lower turn out than many municipalities around Maryland, initiatives such as this are essential to making sure as many voices are heard as possible. As a campus hub for SU students, faculty, staff, and community members alike, this location allows for easy access to voting which studies have shown increases voter turnout.
As an ALL IN for student voting campus, a nationwide initiative to increase student participation in elections, this is one of many ways PACE and SU are encourage students to participate in civic life. As part of this partnership, students are able to register to vote, update registration, request a mail in ballot, find polling places, and get voting reminders at the ALL IN Vote webpage.
Approaching the mid-term elections, PACE will host a fall candidate forum series, taking place this October. More details to be announced soon.
