SALISBURY, MD---The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Wicomico County and surrounding areas from 1 a.m.-7 p.m. Friday, December 5.
Snow accumulation up to an inch and a half is forecast. Snow is expected mainly after 5 a.m., interspersed with periods of rain later in the day.
Slippery roads remain a potential hazard. Drivers are encouraged to use caution and leave extra time for travel. Pedestrians should watch for ice on paved surfaces.

A wintry mix, including snow, rain, and freezing rain, may impact the region throughout parts of the day, beginning with a possibility of light snow after midnight, followed by snow showers in the morning and early afternoon. Accumulation is forecast at less than half an inch. A slight chance of light freezing rain may follow after 1 a.m. Saturday, December 6.
