Governor's Office of Crime Prevention Receives SUPD Simulator Demonstration

SALISBURY, MD---Representatives from the Maryland Governor’s Office of Crime Prevention, Youth and Victim Services recently observed a demonstration of the Salisbury University Police Department’s new Recon 180 training simulator, funded by a $30,000 grant from that office.

The SUPD has used the simulator, which includes more than 1,200 scenarios, for officer de-escalation and situation training, and plans to extend an offer for allied law enforcement agencies interested in providing similar training for their officers.
