SU Hosts MACLAS Annual Conference March 10-11

SALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University hosts the 2023 Middle Atlantic Council of Latin American Studies Conference Friday-Saturday, March 10-11.

This year’s theme, “The Afro-Americas: A Hempispheric Conversation,” explores what Black liberation historically has meant in the region, as well as the response by dominant groups. Presenters also examine what type of challenges Afro-descendants face when fighting for inclusive and equitable social, political and environmental justice in the Americas.
