Examining the Impact of Reading Legislation Lecture at SU

SALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University’s Literacy Studies Department holds its annual reading education convening 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 28, in Conway Hall, Room 156. 

Dr. Shannon Kelley, assistant professor of literacy studies, speaks about this year’s theme “Examining the Impact of Reading Legislation on Classroom Curriculum and Instruction.”

Kelley leads a discussion about how literacy instruction has changed over the past 20 years, what the role of state legislation is in shaping these changes and what has motivated this legislation, and what is next.

Admission is free and the public is invited.
