SU's Fulton School Adds Media Production Minor

SALISBURY, MD---As many aspects of life become more media-centric, more professions are demanding capabilities in media production, from writing to videography, audio and sound production and multimedia design.

Salisbury University’s Charles R. and Martha N. Fulton School of Liberal Arts offers all SU students a chance to hone their skills in the area with a new media production minor in the Communication Department.

The minor is designed to give students majoring in any discipline foundational skills in media-making as a supplement to their primary career fields. The program allows students to develop a deeper understanding of media and media production, giving them the skills needed to create content for a variety of media platforms.

“We’re excited to be able to provide students from across the University with production skills applicable to all industries, as well as giving everyone access to the extraordinary production facilities housed in Conway Hall,” said Dr. Jim Burton, department chair.

Skills gained from the minor will signal to potential employers that SU’s graduates possess practical expertise valuable in most workplaces, he added.
