Important COVID-19 Information for SU Students

Members of the Campus Community,

As Salisbury University continues its COVID-19 precautions, please note the following:

Communications

  • SU President Charles Wight will host a University Town Hall on COVID-19 for students and families 5 p.m. Tuesday, May 18.
  • President Wight’s final live COVID-19 briefing this spring is scheduled 11 a.m. Thursday, May 20.

Masking

  • Face masks continue to be required in all University buildings and facilities. This policy applies to faculty, staff, students and visitors regardless of vaccination status.
  • Face masks are not required when alone in a private office or workspace, while eating or when outdoors with physical distancing.
  • The masking policy is subject to change as we gather more information about the percentage of vaccinated individuals on campus and in the surrounding areas.

Testing

  • Campus Health will begin to move fully vaccinated students and employees to the less frequent testing schedule this week.
  • Fully vaccinated students who have completed their SU COVID-19 Consent Form will be required to take a return test between June 1 and August 29.
  • After the return test, students will not be required to take another test this year.
  • Students showing potential symptoms of COVID-19 or those identified through contact tracing may be referred to take a test by Student Health Services or Campus Health.

Visitors

  • Beginning this week, all campus visitors must take an online COVID-19 assessment on the day of their visit, before coming to campus.
  • As a safety precaution, visitors may be asked to show their proof of clearance from the assessment when on campus.

Please stay safe, and thank you for continuing to do your part to #ProtectTheFlock.
