SU Exhibit Features Chesapeake Photography by David Harp

Land and waterSALISBURY, MD---The Edward H. Nabb Center for Delmarva History and Culture hosts the exhibit “Where Land and Water Meet: the Chesapeake Bay Photography of David W. Harp” January 31-June 5 in the Guerrieri Academic Commons’ first-floor lobby.

An artist talk is 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 9 in the Guerrieri Academic Commons Assembly Hall.

Harp finds inspiration by exploring literal and figurative edges: shorelines, communities, habitats and traditional work where culture and nature connect, creating the essence of what defines the Chesapeake. His passion for the bay and its people has drawn him to explore its rivers, marshes and guts by kayak, on foot and from the air, always revealing them in new ways.

This exhibit represents 40 years of documentary images by Harp, whose naturalist’s eye provides an unparalleled perspective on the interdependence of communities, land and water.

Admission is free and the public is invited.

All attendees at Salisbury University indoor events are required to wear a mask, regardless of vaccination status. Attendees may be asked to leave an event for non-compliance.
