Winter Weather Advisory Issued for Wicomico County January 31

The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a winter weather advisory for Wicomico County and surrounding areas from 1 a.m.-7 p.m. Sunday, January 31.

The NWS is forecasting 1-3 inches of snow accumulation. Roadways and sidewalks may become slippery. Drivers and pedestrians are encouraged to use caution.

At this time, University operations are expected to continue as planned. Please monitor the SU website, as well as the University’s official Facebook and Twitter sites, for any updates.

The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a winter storm watch for Wicomico County and surrounding areas from 7 a.m. Sunday, January 31, to 1 a.m. Monday, February 1.

The NWS is forecasting potentially heavy snowfall, with 2-3 inches of accumulation. Untreated roadways and sidewalks may become slippery. Drivers and pedestrians are encouraged to use caution.
