SU Hosts 'Latinexodus' Exhibit Beginning February 10

woman on the beachSALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University Art Galleries (SUAG) presents the exhibit “Latinexodus” February 10-April 4 in the University Gallery of Fulton Hall.

The show includes artists Hoesy Corona, Lizania Cruz, Luis Sahagun, Rene Trevino and Nora Valdez. Their artwork on view combines the familiar visual elements of latin heritage with the tumultuous realities — from climate change to political unrest — that have shaped the lives of Latinx people in recent times.  

A visiting artist lecture with Valdez is 5:30 p.m. Thursday, March 5, in Conway Hall Room 153.

A reception is 2-4 p.m. Saturday, March 28 during the Middle Atlantic Council of Latin American Studies Conference also taking place on SU’s campus.

Gallery hours are Monday-Tuesday 10 a.m.–5 p.m., Wednesday -Thursday 10 a.m.–7 p.m., Fridays 12 p.m.–5 p.m. and Saturdays 12 p.m.–4 p.m. Other times available by appointment, groups which would like to schedule tours can call 410-548-2547.
