‘On Water’ Exhibit at SU

water sculptureSALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University Art Galleries Downtown (SUAGD) hosts the exhibit “On Water” September 6-October 26.

The display brings together photographic explorations of water and its role in humanity’s interactions with and perceptions of the world, with works by Liz Donadio, Matthew Moore, Anastasia Samoylova and Jay Gould.

A related digital photography workshop with Moore and Donadio is noon-4 p.m. Friday, September 20, in Conway Hall Room 352. An opening reception is 5-7:30 p.m. that day at SUAGD, followed by a film screening at 7:30 p.m., curated by Dr. Ryan Conrath, SU assistant professor of film studies.

The following month, a talk and book signing with Samoylova is 5:30 p.m. Thursday, October 17, also at SUAGD.

Accompanying “On Water” is the juried group exhibition “Close Waters” with works from 12 local and regional artists selected by Matthew Moore.

Gallery hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Wednesday, 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Thursdays, and noon-4 p.m. Friday-Saturday. Admission is free and the public is invited.
