'Horizontes' Exhibit at SU

man and women in fieldSALISBURY, MD---“Horizontes,” an exhibit by interdisciplinary visual artists Verónica Peña and Hector Canonge, opens Monday, August 26, in Salisbury University’s Electronic Gallery, Conway Hall Room 128.

A site-specific performance with the artists is 2 p.m. Sunday, September 29, at Assateague Island National Seashore, South Beach Entrance. A workshop is noon-3 p.m. Monday, September 30, in Conway Hall Room 317 (register by September 25, email eckauffman@salisbury.edu). An artist talk is 12:45 p.m. Tuesday, October 1, in Conway Hall Room 129.

Continuing through Saturday, February 8, the exhibit explores the human connection to water, referencing the history of Assateague Island and exploring the ever-changing relationship between cultures and people.

Gallery hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, 10 a.m.–7 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, noon-4 p.m. Friday-Saturday, closed Sundays and holidays. Sponsored by SU Art Galleries (SUAG), admission is free and the public is invited.
