Salisbury Pops, SU Jazz Ensemble Continue Winter Music Festival

trumpeteer in holiday outfitSALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University’s Winter Music Festival continues December 3-December 7 in Holloway Hall Auditorium. Performances begin at 7:30 p.m.

The Salisbury Pops performs its annual concert on Tuesday, December 3. Directed by Lee Knier, the family-friendly performance includes holiday classics “Joy to the World,” “The Most Wonderful Time of the Year,” “Auld Lang Syne” and “White Christmas.” With guest performers Patrick Gover, Kara Dahl Russell and Dr. Charles Smith, the event concludes with a visit from Santa Claus.

The SU Jazz Ensemble, directed by Jerry Tabor, performs “Wheels of Life in Songs of Jazz” Thursday, December 5. The performance features small-group contemporary jazz compositions with vocals by Lance Fisher, Adanne Uma and Andy Jimenez, Joshua Adewumi on alto saxophone, Colin Cassidy and Andrew Creed on guitar, Grant Gabriele on bass and Parker Martin on drums.

Admission is free and the public is invited.

Those coming from off campus are asked to park in Parking Lot F, adjacent to Blackwell Hall, and are required to display a visitor parking pass, which may be requested at the Parking Services website.
