Perdue Executive Leadership Series Continues with Dr. Robert Rogowsky

Dr. Robert RogowskySALISBURY, MD---Dr. Robert Rogowsky, chair of the International Trade and Economic Diplomacy Program at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies in Monterey, CA, is the next speaker in Salisbury University’s Perdue Executive Leader Series.

His presentation is 3:30 p.m. Thursday, October 11, in Holloway Hall Auditorium.

Rogowsky spent two decades with the U.S. International Trade Commission, where he served as director of the Office of Industries, chief economist and director of operations. In the latter position, he oversaw research studies for the U.S. Trade Representative and Congress, among other duties. He also served on the President’s Performance Improvement Council and U.S. International Trade Data System board of directors.

Prior to his time with the International Trade Commission, he was a litigation economist at the Federal Trade Commission, acting executive director of the Consumer Product Safety Commission and deputy director of the Federal Trade Commission’s Bureau of Consumer Protection.

The founder and executive editor of the Journal of International Commerce and Economics, Rogowsky has testified before Congress on international trade matters. He also is a special advisor to the Berkely Research Group and president of the Institute for Trade and Commercial Diplomacy.

In addition to his duties at Middlebury, he serves as an adjunct professor of trade and economic diplomacy at Georgetown University. He also has been a visiting professor at the University of International Business and Economics in Beijing, China, and an adjunct professor at George Mason University and the University of Maryland, College Park.
