Nursing Honor SocietyInduction Ceremony December 5

SALISBURY, MD--The Lambda Eta chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing inducts new members in a ceremony on Sunday, December 5, at 2 p.m. in the Great Hall of Holloway Hall at Salisbury State University.

Guest speaker for the event is Deborah Pope Topping. Topping has extensive experience in nursing, including nursing practice, nursing education and advanced nursing practice. She received her Master of Science in nursing and became a pediatric nurse practitioner in 1980. She is currently a pediatric nurse practitioner at Atlantic General Health Center in Berlin, MD, and also serves as a preceptor for pediatric clinical rotations for SSU's Family Nurse Practitioner program.

Sigma Theta Tau International is a prestigious organization of nurse leaders, scholars and researchers. Membership in the society is awarded to bachelor's, master's and doctoral nursing candidates who achieve high scholastic averages and to graduates of nursing programs who have made outstanding contributions to nursing.

All nurses and other interested persons are invited to attend the induction ceremony.
