17th SU Variety Show Friday-Saturday, April 7-8

SALISBURY, MD--The 17th annual Salisbury University Variety Show is Friday-Saturday, April 7-8, at 7:30 p.m. in Holloway Hall Auditorium.

This year’s show, also known as V17, features 14 individual acts.  Two of the performing slots will be open to the Salisbury community and the rest will feature SU students, faculty, staff and alumni.  The Salisbury University Jazz Brazz Big Band also is featured.

Auditions are Monday-Wednesday, March 27-29. Performers must sign up for an audition time.  Sign-up sheets will be placed at the Guerrieri University Center Information Desk starting Wednesday, March 8.  Any type of act is welcomed.  This semester SU celebrates its 80th anniversary with the “’80s on Our 80th” spring cultural events series, so 1980s-themed acts are encouraged (but not required).

General admission tickets are $5 each and current SU ID card holders receive one ticket free.  Advance tickets are available in the Event Services Office, located in a temporary building between the Maggs Physical Activities Center and Physical Plant.

The first 200 people to reserve tickets will receive a miniature Rubik's cube, the most popular toy of 1980.  Remaining tickets will be sold at the door.  For more information call the Event Services Office at 410-548-4597 or visit the SU Web site at www.salisbury.edu. "
