My commitment to mentoring in the context of a liberal arts education informs my teaching philosophy. I help students foster critical thinking by challenging them to apply knowledge in new ways. I strive to meet students where tThey are in their experience and preparedness for each course I teach. Working for social justice is an important part of my personal life; these values permeate the way I interact with students and the content that I emphasize in the classroom.
