Christina Hargis

Bio

Christina Hargis DNP, FNP-BC, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She earned both her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degrees from Salisbury University. Christina’s employment included working at the University of Washington Medical Center, The Johns Hopkins Hospital, Peninsula Regional Medical Center and Chesapeake Treatment Services. Her nursing career provided her the opportunity to care for a variety of patients including those with Complex Heart Failure, Cardiothoracic Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Wound Care and Substance abuse. As a Nurse Practitioner she provided Primary Care for patients at Atlantic General Primary and Specialty care in Pocomoke, MD. She joined Student Health Services at SU in March of 2023 as a full time Nurse Practitioner and Assistant Director. “I am passionate about health equity and I am so excited to have the opportunity to provide care to students at Salisbury University.” Christina is a local to the Eastern Shore of Maryland and enjoys spending time outside on her farm with her husband, two children, and their ever-growing list of animals.
