The AIDS Memorial Quilt: One Library's Vehicle for Awareness

To celebrate LGBT History Month, a university library hosted a section of the AIDS Memorial Quilt as a centerpiece for month long programming. Many LGBTQ students on campus had expressed a lack of community and support. With a loss of community comes a loss of history. This programming aimed at educating and helping students feel seen on their campus. Ultimately it resulted in developing many new collaborative relationships, as well.
