Required Online Modules for New Students

Welcome to Salisbury University!

All new students are required to complete two online education courses before they start taking classes: Consent & Respect and Alcohol-Wise. In this page, you will find more information about these programs, instructions on how to get started, and answers to frequently asked questions.

About These Programs

At Salisbury University, the safety and well-being of our student is our top priority. To help ensure all students have important foundational knowledge about two very important areas – interpersonal violence and the impact of alcohol use – the University requires all incoming students, regardless of age, to complete two online modules before they start taking classes.

Bridging the Gap Alcohol Education Sexual Assault Prevention Education Wellbeing 101
Bridging the Gap Promoting safe communities through education on essential principles for creating a culture of respect and belonging. Alcohol-Wise is an online alcohol education program designed to promote and enable healthy and informed decisions concerning alcohol use. Whether you drink or not, Alcohol-Wise will empower you to make well-informed decisions and will help you cope with the drinking behavior of peers. The initial course takes approximately 90 minutes to complete. Consent & Respect is an online education program designed to enhance awareness of sexual violence, intimate partner violence and stalking and their impact on college students, the importance of consent and respect in sexual situations, prevention and risk reduction strategies, as well as critical information on what to do if you or someone you know has any of these experiences. The course is the last module in Alcohol-Wise, and takes about 30 minutes to complete. Wellbeing 101 An online course to foster mental health and overall wellness.

You will receive an email 30 days after completing the first part of the course reminding you to complete a 15-minute follow-up. The due dates for each module are below:

Getting Started

  1. Click on the link below and login with your SU login credentials – the same ones used for your campus email.

    Online Course Login 
  2. Complete Alcohol-Wise Part I and Consent & Respect in one or multiple visits by the deadline.
  3. You will receive an email reminder 30 days after you complete Part I giving you access to Part 2.
  4. Complete Part 2 to receive your Certificate of Completion. Keep a copy of your Certificate of Completion for your records.
