Student Success Council

The Student Success Council is a cross-campus group of more than 30 members dedicated to improving student retention and on-time graduation. The council works to advance large-scale student success initiatives, remove institutional barriers, ensure accountability for outcomes, and promote collaboration and information sharing across campus. Guided by data and national student success research, the council also communicates broadly with campus stakeholders, including addressing the needs of diverse student subpopulations.

What They Do

Salisbury University’s commitment to student success was strengthened in 2025 with the creation of the Student Success Council, a cross-campus collaboration of more than 30 individuals who have been charged with the following:

  • Increase student retention and foster the on-time graduation of Salisbury University students.
  • Facilitate initiatives that enhance student success outcomes at scale.
  • Seek ways to remove barriers to positive student success outcomes through campus initiatives.
  • Ensure accountability for student success improvements.
  • Communicate broadly to campus constituents about student success matters, including those related to unique student subpopulations.
  • Be informed by data and the national student success literature.
  • Facilitate information sharing and collaboration.
