Selection Process

Mosaic Mentors. Mentors can include any SU individuals supporting the culturally responsive mentoring approach and goals of the program are encouraged to volunteer. For matching, a short application must be completed and can be found here.

Mosaic Mentees. For the pilot year, all fall 2020 incoming faculty will be invited to participate in the mentoring program. For matching, a short application must be completed and can be found here.

Other Faculty Mentoring Experiences

In addition to Mosaic mentoring, SU faculty may have access to at least two other university mentoring programs:

Department Assigned Mentors: Every department should assign new members to an experienced faculty mentor. Department-level faculty mentors should provide department-specific guidance toward tenure and promotion.

National Center for Faculty Development and Diversity: SU has an institutional membership that allows all faculty to participate in programs, including “Buddy Match,” a non-SU accountability partner for success.
