Salisbury University students on campus

August 5 - COVID-19 Testing Information for SU Students, Faculty and Staff

8/5/2020 4:30 p.m.

The University System of Maryland requires all students, faculty and staff to be tested for COVID-19 prior to coming to campus for the fall semester. Salisbury University students and employees should get tested through their primary care physicians or in their home counties if possible.

For students living in Maryland, a list of testing sites in the state is available at the Coronavirus - Maryland Department of Health - Symptoms Testing website. Students living out of state should check for similar listings in their states.

For the convenience of the SU community, free COVID-19 testing will be available for students, faculty and staff by appointment on August 14, 15 and 17, 2020, at the former Court Plaza shopping center (1506 S. Salisbury Blvd., Salisbury). Testing will take place between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Administrative leave will be granted for employees scheduling tests during working hours in coordination with their supervisors.

In order to be tested, a consent form must be completed by Thursday, August 13, available online at www.salisbury.edu/covidtesting. Those planning to attend testing on one of the above dates should email covidtesting@salisbury.edu to request scheduling information. A follow-up email will be sent to those who sign up to provide more information and self-schedule their appointments.

Testing will be walk-up, by appointment only, following physical distancing guidelines. Parking on main campus is encouraged. Those requiring on-site parking at Court Plaza or additional accommodations should include that request when making their reservation.

Students and employees will be required to have a negative test result on file with SU by Friday, August 28, to maintain access to SU facilities. Tests should be taken no earlier than 14 days prior to coming to campus. Employees who are currently working on campus may continue to come to campus as long as they complete the daily self-screening requirements, but should get a test as soon as possible.

Those getting tests off-campus should ask for documentation of their results. Students should provide these results to Student Health Services at studenthealth@salisbury.edu.

Employees should email their results to Human Resources at humanresources@salisbury.edu; send via campus mail to Human Resources, Holloway Hall Suite 153; or ask their doctor's office to fax them to 410-677-5026.

Beginning Tuesday, August 25, the University also will host weekly voluntary COVID-19 surveillance testing.

Thank you for your help in keeping Salisbury University as safe and healthy as possible this fall.
