Library Naming Opportunities
Name Price Description Central Information Commons $500,000 This soaring atrium is the heart of the building, with a four-story window looking out on the Square, the Grand Staircase at the other end, and crowned by a skylight. On the first floor, it is the primary study area for students wishing to use computers or studying casually together in groups and provides easy access to assistance from Library and Information Technology staff. Adding to the reading room feel, it is surrounded by shelves holding current periodicals and reference materials. The upper floors all open onto this space. "The Square" Terrace $400,000 This large, beautiful terrace is the main entrance to the building from the campus side. Grand Staircase $350,000 This attractive staircase overlooks the Central Information Commons and sits at its east end. It is very busy, serving as the primary means students use to access the upper floors. Dean of Libraries' Suite $200,000 The Dean of Libraries’ Suite sits at the heart of the first floor, looking out on the Central Information Commons and adjoining the elevators. In addition to offices, it includes a high-tech conference room. South Reading Room - 3rd Floor $200,000 The South Reading Room is one of the two main quiet study spaces available for individual students and includes a large part of the SU Libraries’ stacks for print books. It looks out on Henson Lawn to the south and the Square to the west. It also has a seating area that includes a two-story window looking out to the east. North Reading Room - 3rd Floor $150,000 The North Reading Room is one of the two main quiet study spaces available for individual students and includes a large part of the SU Libraries’ stacks for print books. It looks out on the Square to the west and has numerous individual carrels and tables. High-Tech/High-Flex Library Classroom (3) $100,000 These classrooms, each of which is slightly different, are designed to stimulate creative teaching and Library instruction. The rooms boast multiple screens for projection and high-tech collaborative tables with large monitors and allow instructors to teach in ways encouraging active learning. While they are busy hosting Library instruction classes during the day, they are open for students to use at all other times. Main Service Desk (RESERVED) $50,000 This high-visibility desk combines circulation and research assistance services. At the intersection of the main entrances from the south and the café with the Central Information Commons, this busy location is the main place for students to get help in using the Libraries. West Lobby - 1st Floor (RESERVED) $50,000 With benches overlooking the Central Information Commons on one side and "The Square" Terrace on the other and located near three entrances, this Lobby is a high-traffic area and meeting place. MakerLab $35,000 This first-floor space has 3D printers, 3D scanners, virtual reality, and more. This is a place of virtually unlimited creative opportunities. Budding entrepreneurs can create models, archaeologists can scan and reproduce artifacts, health science students can replicate body parts, and technologists can prototype interactive electronics. Collaborative Study Areas - 2nd Floor (2, 1 RESERVED) $35,000 Located just off the atrium that soars through the building and in front of heavily-visited tutoring and assistance spaces, these two areas are popular and lively places to study. Each area has three high-tech collaborative tables as well as other seating. South Casual Seating Area - 1st Floor $35,000 Facing south, this sunny seating area looks out on Henson Lawn and draws quite a crowd. Diner-style booths alternate with comfortable soft chairs and couches. Study Area - 2nd Floor $30,000 Located just south of the atrium that soars through the building, this area includes seating at counters on the balconies overlooking the Central Information Commons as well as soft seating and tables for group or individual study. Study Area - 2nd Floor $25,000 Located between the Faculty Center and the Instructional Design & Delivery offices, this study space is quieter than the others on the 2nd floor. It provides some computers as well as some regular tables. Accessibility Room $20,000 Just off the southeast end of the Central Information Commons on the 1st floor, this room is equipped with technology such as a Kurzweil Reader, an electronic print magnifier, and a computer with JAWS software for the visually impaired as well as a videophone for the hearing impaired. East Study Area - 3rd Floor (RESERVED) $20,000 This 3rd floor space, located between the Grand Staircase and the seminar rooms, offers a quieter but still public study area, with computers, soft seating and a couple of round tables. Large Group Study Rooms (6, 1 RESERVED) $20,000 On the 2nd floor, these rooms provide comfortable space for groups of up to 10 students to study or work together on projects. They are equipped with whiteboards and 55” monitors on which students can display files from their laptops or tablets. They are much sought after by students. Lactation Room $20,000 This 1st floor space is a lactation room to allow nursing mothers to express breast milk in a private, comfortable environment. Honors College Seminar Room (2) $20,000 These two 3rd floor classrooms provide an appropriate environment for seminars of up to 18 students to meet around a large table. They are equipped with all the latest classroom technology. They are used primarily for Honors College seminars and occasional meetings. Library Technical Services Suite $15,000 This suite houses offices and work areas for the Library’s critical behind-the-scenes functions--acquisitions, cataloging, serials/electronic resources, and government documents. In addition, scanners are available in these alcoves. Research and Instruction Librarian Office (8) $10,000 These 1st-floor offices, located off of public corridors and the South Casual Seating Area, provide students with easy access to the professional librarians who are liaisons to each academic department. Their location encourages interaction between the students and librarians. Small Group Study Rooms - Second Floor (9, 1 RESERVED) $10,000 Mostly on the 2nd floor, these rooms provide comfortable space for groups of up to 4-6 students to study or work together on projects. They are equipped with whiteboards and 55” monitors on which students can display files from their laptops or tablets. They are much sought after by students. Seven of the rooms are reservable. Interlibrary Loan Center $5,000 This 1st-floor space provides office and work areas for the Library's busy and growing Interlibrary Loan service. Nabb Research Center for Delmarva History & Culture Naming Opportunities
Name Price Description Classroom (RESERVED) $100,000 This space provides the Nabb Center with its first-ever dedicated classroom. This flexible classroom space allows for classes to use archival material, books, or artifacts in studying Delmarva’s history and culture, while also providing security for the collections. Microform Room $75,000 This space provides approximately 15 microform readers and a printer to allow genealogists, local historians, students, and others to take advantage of the Nabb Center’s extensive microform collections. Permanent Exhibit Area (RESERVED) $75,000 This high-visibility area is just off the atrium and serves as the entrance to the Nabb Center. The exhibit is open whenever the Academic Commons is open, even when the Nabb Center itself is closed. The Smithsonian-quality exhibit cases highlight the Nabb Center’s document and artifact collections. Temporary Exhibit Area (RESERVED) $75,000 The temporary exhibit area is just off the permanent exhibit area. It provides a very flexible space for exhibits featuring the Nabb Center’s collections and also can host traveling exhibits. Many of the exhibits are curated by Salisbury University students working with the Library’s exhibits curators; the space is an “exhibit lab” for SU students and classes. Book Collection Shelving Area $50,000 This room provides easily-accessible shelving for some of the Nabb Center’s extensive collection of local history and genealogy books as well as the Library’s special collection books. Manuscript & Artifact Storage Areas (2) $50,000 These two state-of-the-art storage areas, one for archives and one for artifacts, provide excellent climate control and security for the Nabb Center and the Library’s collections of rare or unique materials. The high-quality shelving allows us to properly store all types of materials. Digitization & Processing Center (RESERVED) $30,000 This space consists of three related workspaces to handle the processing of all types of materials. One room is dedicated to digitization equipment that allow us to document collections and digitize some materials for online access. One room focuses on archival processing, while the other is for general processing and work activities, including exhibit production. Conference Room (RESERVED) $15,000 This conference room within the Nabb Center is used for hosting visits by smaller classes and meetings of smaller groups related to the Nabb Center’s mission. It has smart classroom technology, such as projection and a pan-tilt-zoom camera. Director's Office (RESERVED) $15,000 This office space puts the Director in an ideal location to oversee the Nabb Center's operations. Situated near the Nabb Center's Classroom and Conference Room, it looks out on the Reading Room. To the west, it looks out on the Square. Archaeology Lab (RESERVED) $10,000 This 4th-floor space provides SU’s archaeology faculty and students with their first real laboratory space. It provides ample storage and workspace as well as ventilation, important when cleaning archaeological objects. Staff Offices (6) (1 RESERVED) $10,000 The comfortable staff offices for the Nabb Center are situated around the outside of the Reading Room in appropriate locations. The Education and Outreach Coordinator and the Administrative Assistant have offices near the Director's and the Conference Room and Classroom, while the other staff offices are located between the Reading Room and the processing and work areas, allowing staff to oversee those activities. -

Name Price Description Center for Student Achievement (CSA) $200,000 The CSA supports academic success by thousands of students by providing hundreds of supplemental instruction classes each semester as well as peer-to-peer tutoring, study skills workshops, success coaching, and study space. This suite on the 2nd floor provides ample room for all of those activities, with three classrooms, an assistance lab, comfortable study areas, and a conference room. Writing Center $100,000 The Writing Center provides support to more than a thousand students each year, who meet one-on-one with trained consultants. Support is provided at any stage of the writing process that students desire. This wonderful space on the 2nd floor includes a classroom, open work area, and small consultation rooms. CSA Classrooms (3) $75,000 These three classrooms are used for supplemental instruction classes and other activities. All three are equipped with projection and other smart-classroom technology. One is also equipped as a computer lab and will be open for student use as such when not needed for classes. Another has collaborative high-tech tables with monitors, while the third has more flexible tables and whiteboards. Math Emporium $75,000 The Math Emporium provides computers for students to use on their own, tables where tutors and students can work together, a projection system, and ample whiteboards, including whiteboard glass, for working out math problems by hand. Writing Center Classroom $50,000 This 2nd-floor classroom allows students to work individually or together and share their work on whiteboards, monitors, and even the room-wide projection system. On the northwest corner of the building, the classroom has fine views of the Square. CSA Open Study Area $25,000 In a quiet corner of the 2nd floor, this space provides small tables for students to study individually or in pairs. Many SU athletes attend mandatory study halls in this space. CSA Assistance Lab $20,000 This 2nd-floor space provides tables for groups of up to four students to work with peer tutors. The room also is equipped with whiteboards and projection technology. CSA Conference Room $10,000 This conference room, just off the entrance to the CSA on the 2nd floor, is used for meetings of CSA staff, including the students who lead supplemental instruction sessions and other peer tutors. CSA Offices (3) These offices, for the CSA’s director and other staff, are near the entrance to the CSA on the 2nd floor along a corridor through which many students using CSA services pass, giving the students ready access to the staff. Writing Center Offices (2) $10,000 These offices, for the Writing Center’s director and other staff, are near the entrance to the Writing Center on the 2nd floor and open on the main public space of the Writing Center. They give students and tutors ready access to the staff. Writing Center Assistance Stations (2) (1 RESERVED) $5,000 This room is the main public space of the Writing Center, with tables for tutors to work one-on-one with students. It is a light, airy space looking out on the Square. Writing Center Individual Labs (2, ALL RESERVED) $5,000 The individual labs provide space for students to work one-on-one with tutors in a more private setting than the Assistance Stations. In addition, each room has the capability (with appropriate permission from participants) to record sessions to allow for later review and evaluation of teaching techniques and student responses. -

Name Price Description Instructional Design & Delivery (ID&D) Center $150,000 This 2nd-floor suite provides classroom, work, and office space for ID&D, the unit on campus that supports high-quality faculty teaching. The suite includes the Faculty Development Studio, with space for up to fifteen faculty to work individually or with ID&D staff; the Presentation Room, where faculty are able to attend workshops and practice on all the classroom equipment available across campus; and a high-tech conference room with interactive video capability. University Faculty Center (RESERVED) $50,000 This area has been reserved. ID&D Faculty Development Studio(RESERVED) $15,000 This 2nd-floor studio in the ID&D Suite provides space for up to fifteen faculty to work individually or in consultation with ID&D staff on computers with specialized software to create courses and course materials. It also provides color and large-format printers for poster sessions and other larger graphic materials faculty might need. The studio also includes two film studios for faculty to record lectures. The space is accessible to faculty whenever the building is open, including nights and weekends. ID&D Presentation Room $15,000 This 2nd-floor classroom space is ideal for the many teaching-related workshops that ID&D hosts as well as for viewing web-based presentations and seminars. Equipped with the all the types of technology available in any classroom on campus, it also allows faculty to try out technology in an environment where they can easily get assistance. ID&D Conference Room $10,000 The ID&D Conference Room on the 2nd floor is ideal for hosting smaller meetings and workshops. In addition, it is the most high-tech meeting room in the Academic Commons. University Faculty Center Conference Room (RESERVED) $10,000 This space has been reserved. University Faculty Center Terrace $10,000 This faculty-only terrace is entered via the University Faculty Center on the 2nd floor. Looking south towards Henson Lawn, it is sunny and pleasant most of the year. ID&D Film Studio (2) $5,000 Located within the ID&D Faculty Development Studio on the 2nd floor, these two small film studios are designed specifically for use by faculty to record lectures or interviews for online or hybrid (combined in-person and online) courses. The space is accessible to faculty whenever the building is open, including nights and weekends. It has a coffee bar and a grill area as well as prepared foods. Easily accessible from all the academic buildings, it is the busiest food service area on the north end of campus and the second only to the Commons campus-wide Assembly Hall $250,000 This wonderful airy space on the top (4th) floor can seat up to about 350 people at round tables for banquets and 400 or more auditorium-style. Equipped with excellent audiovisual systems, it can host lectures, recitals, and other presentations. With a movable stage and a flat floor, it is an excellent location for activity fairs, poster board sessions, and all manner of (quieter) student and community events. The audience enjoys wonderful views of the Vista Terrace, the woods to the west, and sunsets. Board Room $75,000 One of the most elegant rooms on campus, the 4th-floor Board Room hosts meetings of up to 40-60 people at tables and more when set up for lectures. Well-equipped with audiovisual equipment and boasting a spectacular oyster-shell table, this room opens onto the Board Room Terrace looking out to the east. Graduate Commons $25,000 This 2nd-floor space, nestled between the Café and the Faculty Center, is the first and only space on campus dedicated solely to graduate students.
