Michael Desper

Bio

J. Michael Desper has spent the last 20+ years working at theatres and universities all over the country, bringing his love of technical theatre to groups ranging in age from 8 to 80. A scene designer by training with over 100 produced designs, he earned his MFA from San Diego State University and his BFA in his home state at the University of Oklahoma. After a six-year stint on staff at Ashland University (OH), he joined the Theatre and Dance faculty at Salisbury University in Fall 2018. He currently serves as Co-Chair of the Department of Music, Theatre and Dance, as well as Technical Director for the Bobbi Biron Theatre and SU Dance programs.
