Develop a research or creative project suitable for presentation at an undergraduate research conference or equivalent public venue. Work one-on-one with a faculty mentor from a department of the student's choosing and with Honors administrative faculty to complete and present the independent project. NURS 360 NSG CARE CHILD: A FAM APPR (Fall 2019)
Study of theory related to nursing care of children and adolescents with acute and chronic disorders. Integrates concepts from previous courses in the natural, behavioral and nursing sciences and introduces theories of structure, development and function of families. Prerequisites: NURS 310, 311, 319, 329 (prereq/coreq). Co-requisite: NURS 361. Three hours per week.
NURS 361 CARE OF CHILD/ ADOLE CLINIC (Fall 2019)
Prepares beginning practitioners to provide nursing care to children, adolescents and their families in a variety of rural health settings. Clinical practice will be guided by the objectives of Healthy People 2010. Prerequisites: NURS 310, 311, 312, 319 with a C or better. Pre/Corequisites: NURS 329. Corequisite: 360. Nine hours per week.
NURS 881 DNP PROJECT 1: TOPIC & ID (Fall 2019)
Focused on advancing nursing knowledge in a specialty area. Explore the literature in an area of interest to identify the topic for an evidence-based project that will improve health care outcomes and provide the foundation for future scholarship. Prerequisite: NURS 744 or permission of instructor. One hour per week.
