  • 1955 – Campus Elementary School (renamed Caruthers Campus School in 1955 and Caruthers Hall in 1969; demolished in 2013)
  • 1957 – College Library (renamed Blackwell Library in 1966 and Blackwell Hall in 2016)
  • 1962 – Tawes Gym (demolished in 1989)
  • 1964 – Manokin Hall
  • 1965 – Musical Arts building (later used for administrative purposes, including University Police; demolished in 2006)
  • 1966 – Powell Dining Hall (demolished in 2000)
  • 1966 – Memorial Student Union (replaced in 1977; demolished in 2000)
