Syllabus Statement
Office of Access & Accommodations
The following statement is included in the SU Course-related policies and resources page, which is included as a link in all MyClasses courses. A recommended syllabus statement is provided by ID&D to direct students to this central resource. Below is the entire statement if you prefer to add it directly to your syllabus:
"If you have already been approved for reasonable accommodations through the Office of Access & Accommodations (OAA), please complete the following next steps as soon as possible: (1) send your OAA Accommodations Letter(s) through the AIM portal, and (2) initiate a conversation and/or meet with your faculty members to discuss how your approved accommodations will be implemented in each course.
If you have not yet established accommodations with OAA but have, or think you may have, a disability or condition that creates barriers to your participation in academics or other aspects of university life, you may request reasonable accommodations, auxiliary aids and services, and/or modifications to University policies or practices. To get started, follow OAA’s process for requesting accommodations. Disabilities and conditions may include, but are not limited to, mental health, attention-related, learning, vision, hearing, physical, and chronic health conditions.
For questions or additional information, visit the Office of Access & Accommodations website, email accommodations@salisbury.edu, or call 410-543-6087. OAA is located on the second floor of the Guerrieri Student Union (GSU), Room 229."
