Joe Benyish - Director of Orientation and Family Programs

I choose to support because I truly believe in Salisbury University. Being a part of the next generation is a really impactful opportunity for me, and what better way to support our tomorrow makers than by helping support the programs, events, activities and organizations that they really value? Giving to those areas is the most impactful because I know my funds go directly to them to use how they see fit. Even though I am not a Salisbury University alum, SU has become my home over the last five years, and it is important for me to help move us forward, one small contribution at a time.

Justin Axel - Head Coach of Men’s Lacrosse

My experience at Salisbury University in my early career allowed me to follow a coaching career path that I owe greatly to the coaches and mentors within our Athletics Department. After becoming a head coach at another institution, I then truly realized how incredible the tradition, people and support really are at SU. I owe so many incredibly memories and career successes to Salisbury University, and giving back to help support the mission of Salisbury University’s athletic programs is an honor.

Christina Camillo – Program Director, Assistant Professor, Medical Laboratory Science

As an alumna, faculty, and now Program Director of the Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) Program, I see firsthand the benefits of giving for our current and future students. The MLS Program is small compared to many other majors on campus, but we require a lot of equipment, supplies, and other technology. All of these are necessary so our students can be educated effectively and become highly valued employees in clinical laboratories locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally. I support the MLS Program because I am proud of our graduates and all of the amazing things they have accomplished. I support the MLS Program to benefit future MLS students, so they can learn using current and relevant laboratory methods. I support the MLS Program so that we can continue to graduate competent, caring, and dedicated laboratory professionals - who are desperately needed around the country - who will provide accurate and timely patient test results to help clinicians diagnose and treat patients.

Joerg Tuske – Professor, Department of Philosophy

I support the Music, Theater and Dance Department and the Greatest Needs Fund. I love attending the performances throughout the year and enjoy helping to make them possible. These performances are not just an enrichment for our campus but for the city and region as a whole. I hope that through my gifts to the Greatest Need Fund, I can help SU to provide a great education for anyone, regardless of their financial means.

Leigh Ann Taylor – Admissions

I choose to support SU because I believe in its value and what it has to offer. Even before my children began school here, I would work with all the incoming families as they were deciding to make SU their home and just felt a sense of pride. I formed relationships with staff/faculty all over campus who felt the same way! They just went the extra mile!

I give typically to the general fund because there are so many important needs on campus. This year I gave to the Arboretum because I see the work they do around campus and I’m sure they have limited resources in staff and money. Sometimes I think those types of departments go unnoticed!

Jalesa Hull – Assistant Program Director, Office of Access & Accommodations

I choose to give because I think that it’s important to support the students I serve. I know there are areas that my department could use additional resources, and if my contribution can help even a little I try to do that. Especially when I know the funds go directly back to helping our current students.

Sherman Wood – Head Coach, Football

During these difficult times, it is extremely important to come together and give back for the sake of our students. Be it for technology, resources or studying abroad, students cannot accomplish their goals without our support. Go Gulls!
