SU, UMES Commemorate National Cybersecurity Awareness Month October 28th

National cyber security awareness monthSALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University and the University of Maryland Eastern Shore commemorate National Cybersecurity Awareness Month with two speakers Wednesday, October 28, in Room 153 of SU’s Teacher Education and Technology Center.

FBI Supervisory Special Agent Daniel Gray discusses “The Cyber Threat Today” at 6:30 p.m., followed by the presentation “Social Media and Internet Safety” by Maryland State Police Lt. Matthew Kail at 8 p.m.

Based at the FBI’s Baltimore field office, Gray manages and coordinates FBI cyber investigations in Maryland and Delaware. He is the former deputy director of the National Cyber Investigative Joint Task Force and former assistant section chief of the FBI’s Cyber National Security Section.

Kail serves in the Computer Crimes Section of the northern command of the Maryland State Police’s Criminal Investigation Bureau. He has served with the state police since 1998, most recently as commander of Barrack D in Bel Air, MD.
