Next CELL 'Discover SU' Tour Is January 18

CELL LogoSALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University’s Center for Extended and Lifelong Learning (CELL) invites community members to get to know the campus better through “Discover SU,” a series highlighting the University’s offerings and services.

The first tour of 2018, highlighting University Dining Services (UDS), is 12:30 p.m. Thursday, January 18. UDS Director Owen Rosten leads visitors through SU’s dining facilities, discussing what it takes to provide three meals a day for SU’s 8,700 students, plus faculty, staff, visitors and special events.

Students have rated SU as having some of the “Best College Food in America” — among the top 10 percent in the nation and No. 1 in the University System of Maryland, according to a recent survey by Niche.com. UDS also received an A on PETA2’s Vegan Report Card in 2016 and 2017, with an 80 percent satisfaction rating among students.

Other upcoming “Discover SU” topics include:

•    February 22 – Delmarva Public Radio and PAC 14

•    March 22 – Art sculptures on campus

•    April 19 – Athletics facilities and Sea Gull Stadium

•    May 17 – SU Arboretum
