47 ABC Donates $3K for Communication Arts Scholarships

Kathleen McLain and Greg PrinceSALISBURY, MD---47 ABC has donated $3,000 to fund scholarships for Salisbury University students.

Three $1,000 awards will be given this academic year to three undergraduate communication arts majors studying journalism, mass media and/or media production.

“The University is grateful to 47 ABC for investing in our students, encouraging those with an interest in pursuing communications-related careers and supporting these burgeoning programs within the Fulton School of Liberal Arts,” said T. Greg Prince, vice president of advancement and external affairs at SU and executive director of the SU Foundation, Inc. He recently accepted a check for the scholarships from Kathleen McLain, general manager of 47 ABC, Delmarva's CW3 and Me-TV Delmarva.

Over 500 students are enrolled as communication arts majors at SU. 

Scholarship recipients will have demonstrated financial need according to federal guidelines and a 3.0 or higher grade point average. Preference will be given to residents of Wicomico, Worcester, Dorchester, Somerset, Talbot and Caroline counties in Maryland; Sussex and Kent counties in Delaware; and Accomack County in Virginia.
