Lend Me A Tenor On Stage April 28-30, May 3-7

SALISBURY, MD---A night at the opera turns wildly exciting as the Salisbury State University student theatre club Sophanes, performs playwright Ken Ludwig's popular comedy Lend Me A Tenor. Performances are April 28-30 and May 3-7 in Fulton Hall Theatre.

Run entirely by students, the show is a high energy comic farce in which a much anticipated opera is put in jeopardy when the star tenor is unable to perform. But the show must go on, and through an outrageous series of events that feature sex and disguise, the characters work to attain their goals, and try to pull it off.

Sponsored by the Bobbi Byron Theatre Program, the show is directed by student John Moller, and features John Carlson as the opera star Tito Merelli and Jason LaGarde as Max, the assistant who must step up to save the show. Behind the scenes are Moller, set designer; Brian Elligson, set decorator; Catherine Sheehy, lighting designer; Julia Knudson and Jennifer Smith, costumes and Amber Wilkerson, stage manager.

Curtain is 8 p.m. except Sundays, April 30 and May 7, which are 2 p.m. matinees. Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for senior citizens and non-SSU students.
