'Shore Fit for Kids' Held September 6

SALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University’s Healthy U of Delmarva is one of several community organizations sponsoring “Shore Fit for Kids:  Healthy Fitness and Nutrition Decisions” Saturday, September 6.
Presented by the Wicomico Partnership for Families and Children and the Wor-Wic Community College Positive Youth Development Series, the program is 8 a.m.-2:30 p.m. in Guerrieri Assembly Hall at Wor-Wic Community College.

Designed for individuals who work with youth, the program features keynote speaker Dr. Jose Alvarado, a Salisbury pediatrician, on “Childhood Obesity:  What are the long term consequences?”  Sessions include “Teambuilding and Fitness Activities,” “5-2-1 Almost None,” “Nutrition/Healthy Snacks,” “Peace Building” and “Get To Know Your Community Foundation.”
