SU Student Earns NAACP Honor

SALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University student NAACP President, Dale Graham, son of Darlene Cain of Baltimore (ZIP: 21216) and father of Iyana Alexis Graham, was recently elected second vice president for the Maryland State Conference Youth and College Division of the NAACP.

Graham, a 1997 graduate of Loyola Blakefield High School, is a senior political science major. Duties in his new position include presiding over all Maryland college NAACP chapters and some youth groups. He has been involved in the SU chapter of the NAACP for two years.

“I have a passion which came from Loyola to help others” he said.

A former varsity football team member, Graham said he learned leadership skills on the field at SU, as well as in high school. He also is a member of the Union of African American students and a student ambassador for admissions.
