SU Hosts Gallery Walk Friday, October 12

SALISBURY, MD---From works inspired by a long time faculty member to “outsider art,” Salisbury University hosts a Gallery Walk 4-8 p.m., Friday, October 12, to present three opening receptions for exhibits on campus.

The evening begins with a reception for “New and Class Works by Alumni and Former Students of John R. Cleary” from 4-6 p.m. in the Student Art Center at 303 W. College Ave.

The opening of the exhibit “Maryland, My Maryland” follows from 5-7 p.m. in the Atrium Gallery of the Guerrieri University Center. This show features artwork created by patients at the Eastern Shore Hospital Center and its satellites.

The Gallery Walk culminates with the reception for “John R. Cleary, a Retrospective: Ideas and Images” in the University Gallery of Fulton Hall from 6-8 p.m. The artist will be present with the collection of his work which spans four decades.

The gallery walk is free and the public is invited. Exhibits are sponsored by the University Galleries, Salisbury University’s Art Department, Eastern Shore Hospital Center Auxiliary, Maryland State Arts Council and National Endowment of the Arts.
