Learn the Basics of Federal Government Contracting June 9

SALISBURY, MD---Prepare to be a player in the contracting game! The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Salisbury University presents “Everything You Need to Know About Federal Government Contracting” from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Wednesday, June 9. Topics covered include: How to identify and target audiences that purchase products and services, including how much and how often they purchase; How various agencies buy, what registrations exist and how they affect businesses’ ability to qualify; How to develop and use a capabilities statement; and Special opportunities for small businesses. The all-day seminar features a federal agency decision maker who provides insight on what it takes to be awarded a contract. Cost is $50, including materials. An hour-and-a-half break is scheduled for lunch, which is not provided. Co-sponsored by the Maryland Procurement Technical Assistance Program, seating is limited, and advance registration is recommended.
