Brown Bag Inaugurates African-American History Month

SALISBURY, MD---Dr. Clara Small, professor of history at Salisbury University, inaugurates SU’s African-American History Month celebration with the semester’s first Brown Bag Lunch Discussion noon Tuesday, February 7, in the University Gallery of Fulton Hall.

Small speaks on “Manumitted Slaves from the Eastern Shore Who Served in the Civil War,” highlighting the role of freed slaves in a conflict largely defined by slavery.
