Blackwell 'Food for Fines' to Aid Local Outreach

SALISBURY, MD---Outstanding library fees at Salisbury University? Why not pay with food?

Blackwell Library hosts Food for Fines from October 1-31. Students and community users with late fines may help feed the hungry by bringing in canned and other non-perishable food to the Circulation Desk. Each item of food waives $2 in fines owed, with a maximum of $20. Donations need not be limited to fine amounts.
Community borrowers from Wicomico, Somerset, Worcester and Dorchester counties are encouraged to participate. Collected food will be given to Hope and Life Outreach (HALO) Ministries.
