Jack Allen Friestat Jr. Joins University Advancement Team

SALISBURY, MD-- Jack Allen Freistat Jr. is Salisbury State Universitys new director of special gifts. Freistat will raise major gifts for the University while cultivating, soliciting and stewarding donor prospects. His area of concentration is gifts from alumni and friends of the school.

Freistat has many ties to the campus. His wife and daughter graduated from SSU and one son is currently enrolled. I love the University and believe it is the best in the State of Maryland, he said.

Freistat brings to the University many years of sales experience. He has held sales and managerial positions for Atlantic Lift Truck and MC Call Handling Co., Roadway Package Systems of Bridgeville, DE, and Industrial Lift Truck of Delmar, DE. His Bachelor of Science is in business administration/commerce from the University of Maryland University College. He is a Vietnam veteran.

He is involved in community service, and has been honored for his work for Parkside High School and the Cerebral Palsy Association of America. I love to work for what I believe in; and I believe in Salisbury State, Freistat said.

Marty Williams, vice president of university advancement at SSU, said Freistat has a unique combination of skills that will encourage new membership in our major donor club, the Presidents Club. He brings warmth, enthusiasm and business skills to the job of raising scholarships and endowments. Jack will be a real asset to our staff.
