Nursing Faculty Present Papers at "Nursing Education: Looking Toward Tomorrow" Conference

SALISBURY, MD-- Drs. Lisa Seldomridge and Dorothea McDowell of Salisbury State Universitys Department of Nursing in the Richard A. Henson School of Science and Technology recently presented papers at the Nursing Education: Looking Toward Tomorrow conference in Baltimore. The conference, held at the University of Maryland, School of Nursing, was sponsored by the Maryland Council of Directors of Associate Degree and Baccalaureate Nursing Programs and co-sponsored by Pi and Beta chapters of Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society.

Seldomridge, department chair and associate professor of nursing, presented A Partnership for the Future: Seasoned Faculty Mentoring New Faculty, which described a method of assisting new faculty members to become more comfortable in an academic setting.

Promoting Information Technology Use Among Undergraduate Nursing Students, the topic of McDowells presentation, addressed methods to improve nursing student computer literacy via journal database and Web searches. McDowell is an associate professor of nursing.
