WSCL Off Air During Tower Maintenance Dec. 4

Delmarva Public RadioSALISBURY, MD--WSCL 89.5 FM will be off the air Thursday, December 4. Crews will be performing routine maintenance to its broadcast tower in Seaford, DE.

“We apologize for the inconvenience on that day, but listeners will still be able to hear WSCL 89.5 via its Internet stream at delmarvapublicradio.net,” said DPR Station Manager Dana Whitehair. “We are appreciative of their patience and understanding.”

DPR’s annual Holiday Membership Drive on WSCL and WSDL 90.7 FM continues from December 5-12. This year, with members’ support, DPR has upgraded key equipment, expanded programming and increased its community presence.

Improvements expected in 2015 include a new, more reliable transmitter link; the replacement of aging transmitters; and an increase in locally produced programming. Opera returns to WSCL next year, as well, as World of Opera with Lisa Simeone debuts from noon-3:30 p.m. Saturday, January 3.
