SU Students Raise Funds for Prince Street Elementary Step Team

SALISBURY, MD---Students from Paula Morris’ Advertising Promotion Management class in Salisbury University’s Franklin P. Perdue School of Business recently raised over $200 to benefit students at Prince Street Elementary School.

Each semester, students in the SU course partner with area non-profits to create or market fund- and awareness-raisers. The partnerships provide the students with real-world experience in advertising and promoting events and organizations.

Marketing students London Mackall, Edward Ibe, John Danner and Jeremie Davis partnered with the Prince Street Steppers, holding a carwash on campus to benefit the organization. The after-school program emphasizes the importance of academics while incorporating fun step-dancing. The young students tour colleges and universities across Maryland as part of the program.

Students from several SU clubs and organizations volunteered at the event, including marketing students, track and field student-athletes and members of the Delta Sigma Theta sorority. Donors included Holloway Tours, Rommel’s Ace Hardware and AutoZone South Salisbury.
