SU One of Nation's First to Receive PeopleSoft Upgrade

SALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University recently became one of the first campuses in the United States to upgrade to Oracle PeopleSoft Enterprise Campus Solutions 9.0.

CNN Money.com recently featured SU, along with the University of Oxford, Brigham Young University and Florida State, in an article about campuses using or upgrading Oracle products.

The student management software package allows students to find course schedules, billing, financial aid information and degree progress reports more quickly than past PeopleSoft systems. Faculty may also used the new system to view teaching schedules, class rosters and advisee lists.

SU also recently upgraded to PeopleSoft Enterprise Human Capital Management 9.0 and PeopleSoft Enterprise Financial Management 8.9, simplifying processes that allow faculty and staff to monitor benefits and pay records, update personal information and record professional development experiences.

“Oracle’s Web-based PeopleSoft Enterprise applications have changed our culture,” said SU Chief Information Officer Jerry Waldron. “More members of the campus community are using the applications and asking for advanced self-service functionality.”
