SU Celebrates National French Week Nov. 5-8 

SALISBURY, MD---The American Association of Teachers of French have designated the first week of November as National French Week to raise community awareness of France’s language and culture.  Salisbury University’s Department of Modern Languages is planning an assortment of on-campus celebrations to which the public is cordially invited. 

On Monday, November 5, at 7 p.m., the Music Department presents “An Evening of French Music” in the Great Hall, featuring choral and piano music.  Admission is free. 

A French dinner is served Tuesday, November 6, from 5-7:30 p.m. in the Bistro, Commons building.  For $8.50 patrons are served salmon, pork, chicken, assorted vegetables and desserts accompanied by French music.  

On Thursday, November 8, a video festival in Fulton Hall Room 111 features La Femme Nikita (French with English subtitles) at 7 p.m., and its American counterpart, Point of No Return, at 9 p.m.  These films contain themes which may be considered controversial or violent.  Admission is free.
