SU Alumnus Tim Kane Appears on History Channel May 18

SALISBURY, MD---One of Salisbury University's favorite sons, alumnus Tim Kane, is on the History Channel 9 p.m. May 18 as part of Tactical to Practical, a program about technology moving from military to civilian use. Kane is the son of Mary Kane of SU's Nursing Department and Dr. Francis Kane of the Philosophy Department. He was hailed as a Maryland hero by The Baltimore Sun for his leadership at Ground Zero in New York following September 11, 2001. He was still a student at SU at that time. Kane went to work for the Office of Emergency Management in New York after graduation in 2002 and was again honored for extraordinary work during the New York City blackout last summer. In his mid-20s, he already is establishing a reputation in the emergency management world. For more information call 410-543-6030 or visit the SU Web site at www.salisbury.edu.
