Musical Theatre Workshop Celebrates 'Politics as Usual'

SALISBURY, MD---The Department of Music at Salisbury University presents the musical theatre revue Politics as Usual Thursday-Saturday, December 2-4, in the Black Box Theatre of Fulton Hall.   Co-directed by Dr. William Folger, SU director of choral activities, and Dr. Darrell Mullins, communication and theatre arts department chair, students perform musical selections from Evita, Hair, 1776, Cabaret and other popular stage musicals. “The show provides an opportunity time to laugh at the political processes and foibles we face as a nation,” said Mullins. A red, white and blue gourmet dessert buffet offered with coffee, tea and punch begins 7 p.m. in the Fulton Hall main lobby and University Gallery Friday-Saturday December 3-4. The performances are 8 p.m. Admission is $15. The buffet is optional for these performances. Admission to performances without the buffet costs $5. Those performances are Thursday, December 2, 8 p.m. and Saturday, December 4, 2 p.m. Tickets are available by phone at 410-543-6385 or online through the campus book store at www.salisbury.collegestoreonline.com.
